25. Christian Kirk, Jaguars
2022 Stats: 84 Rec. 1108 Yds. 8 TDs.
Kirk proved himself as the number one receiver in a strong Jacksonville offense this past season. With Trevor Lawerance coming into year three we can expect more production in the passing game resulting in Kirk having the potential to increase his stock as a player even more during the 2023 season.
24. Chris Olave, Saints
2022 Stats: 72 Rec. 1042 Yds. 4 TDs.
As the second-year player to makes our list it’s important to say that Olave could have a wide range of outcomes this upcoming season. But, if his rookie season indicated to the world anything it’s that he’s here to stay.
23. Michael Thomas, Saints
2022 Stats: 16 Rec. 172 Yds. 3 TDs.
Thomas will be playing the first full season of his career since his massive 149-reception season back in 2019. There’s no saying if Thomas will bounce back to that level, but if he comes even somewhat close, then Thomas will be a pro-bowl caliber wide receiver in the NFL.
22. Devonta Smith, Eagles
2022 Stats: 95 Rec. 1196 Yds. 7 TDs.
Smith experienced his second-year breakout season last year. Despite not living up to his hype coming out of Alabama in his rookie season where he faced some struggles, in year 2 he balled out and quickly moved himself up to a position as one of the greatest wide receiver twos in the game.
21-Tee Higgins, Bengals
2022 Stats: 74 Rec. 1029 Yds. 7 TDs.
In his first three years of his career Higgins has been one of the most consistent receivers in the game of football. He’s proved as a number two option he still continues to contribute heavily to one of the most explosive offenses in the game.
20. D.J. Moore, Bears
2022 Stats: 63 Rec. 888 Yds. 7 TDs.
Moore’s numbers from 2022 don’t necessarily match those of his production as he was on the Panthers and played with a severely struggling offense. Despite this, he starred making incredible catch after incredible catch and showed the world that he’s capable of being any offense’s number one target.
19. Keenan Allen, Chargers
2022 Stats: 66 Rec. 752 Yds. 4 TDs.
To no surprise – despite missing a good portion of the 2022 season – Allen proved himself as the number one option in the passing game in an offense that was cluttered with options. Allen has played 10 seasons already but there’s no reason to suspect that year 11 for Allen won’t match those of the first 10.
18. Garrett Wilson, Jets
2022 Stats: 83 Rec. 1103 Yds. 4 TDs.
Wilson is coming into his second season and now he will be playing under Aaron Rodgers. This 2022 rookie of the year is about to get even better as he will be playing alongside one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time.
17. Chris Godwin, Buccaneers
2022 Stats: 104 Rec. 1023 Yds. 3 TDs.
Godwin over the past few years has been a strong receiving threat in the Buccaneers dangerous offense. Alongside his partner-in-crime, Mike Evans, Godwin continues to rack up catches and shred through defenses with ease.
16. D.K. Metcalf, Seahawks
2022 Stats: 90 Rec. 1048 Yds. 6 TDs.
Metcalf is arguably the most intimidating wide receiver to play against in the NFL right now. Standing in at 6-foot-4 inches and weighing in at 235 pounds, Metcalf remains a living highlight reel as he manages to make plays comparable to those of former NFL wide receiver Randy Moss.
15. Tyler Lockett, Seahawks
2022 Stats: 84 Rec. 1033 Yds. 9 TDs.
Over the past five years in the NFL there has been no wide receiver that has played with the consistency of Lockett. Lockett seems to avoid injuries with ease, and game after game throughout his career he brings a strong level of production to this Seattle offense. No difference should be expected during the 2023 season.
14. Amon-Ra St. Brown, Lions
2022 Stats: 106 Rec. 1161 YDs. 6 TDs.
In both of his first two seasons St. Brown has had 90 or more catches. Since joining this Lions offense there have been significant improvements that can be heavily connected to the strong hands of St. Brown.
13. Deebo Samuel, 49ers
2022 Stats: 56 Rec. 632 Yds. 2 TDs.
Samuel is different from most other receivers as he is more like a running back. Samuel can make some great grabs from the wide receiver position but also run the ball; in 2021 Samuel had six receiving touchdowns and eight rushing touchdowns and he proves to be a key piece on this Super Bowl contending roster.
12. Jaylen Waddle, Dolphins
2022 Stats: 75 Rec. 1356 Yds. 8 TDs.
In his first two seasons Waddle has shown his sheer athleticism as he has scorched cornerbacks with ease. Both of the seasons Waddle has played in the NFL he has ended with more than 70 catches and more than 1000 yards, Waddle very quickly has proven why he is the first wide receiver two in the NFL.
11. Ceedee Lamb, Cowboys
2022 Stats: 107 Rec. 1359 Yds. 9 TDs.
During the 2022 season Lamb had a major breakout season helping Dallas to make the playoffs. Every single game Lamb maneuvered his way into big games and seemed to make catches when the Cowboys needed them most.
10. Mike Evans, Buccaneers
2022 Stats: 77 Rec. 1124 Yds. 6 TDs.
Evans has had a long career in the NFL and has been, and continues to be, nothing short of great. Every year Evans goes out of the field and manages to just remain consistent. Many predict Evans to slow down a little coming into the 2023 season as he gets older but I see no reason to predict that to happen.
9. Terry McLaurin, Commanders
2022 Stats: 77 Rec. 1191 Yds. 5 TDs.
McLaurin’s numbers don’t suggest how good of a player he truly is. McLaurin is in a tough situation in Washington’s offense but he proved to be a bright spot in this offense. When watching a Washington football game you are almost guaranteed to witness some absolutely incredible catches from McLaurin.
8. DeAndre Hopkins, Titans
2022 Stats: 64 Rec. 717 Yds. 3 TDs.
Hopkins only played half the season in 2022 for the Cardinals and still managed to do great things on the field. Hopkins has been a star for this league since the start of his career and looks to continue to do exactly that with a fresh start on the Titans.
7. A.J. Brown, Eagles
2022 Stats: 88 Rec. 1496 Yds. 11 TDs.
Brown played his first season with the Eagles in 2022 and erupted as he was one of the few players to catch more than 10 touchdowns. Brown had an incredible season with the Eagles and helped lead them to having the best regular season record of any team. His successes continued in the playoff making great catches and almost helping the Eagles win the Super Bowl.
6. Cooper Kupp, Rams
2022 Stats: 75 Rec. 812 Yds. 6 TDs.
Coming off of Kupp’s phenomenal season in 2021 he was met with an injury in 2022. This is extremely unfortunate as Kupp was off to a great start prior to the injury. But there’s no stopping this guy and I highly doubt that Kupp won’t return to his dominant high level of play.
5. Stefon Diggs, Bills
2022 Stats: 108 Rec. 1429 Yds. 11 TDs.
Year after year Diggs proves to be one of the toughest wide receivers in the league as he has been a key contributor to every offense he’s been a part of. 2023 will most likely be no different for Diggs and he’s expected to return to the high level of play he has been on.
4. Ja’Marr Chase, Bengaks
2022 Stats: 77 Rec. 1046 Yds. 9 TDs.
If it weren’t for injuries during the 2022 season there is no saying how huge Chase’s numbers would’ve been. Even despite being injured and missing games his numbers flourished as this young receiver proved to the NFL that he can make tough catches in traffic that not many other players can
3. Tyreek Hill, Dolphins
2022 Stats: 119 Rec. 1710 Yds. 7 TDs.
This man is known as the cheetah for good reason as every single week Hill flies past opposing defenses. There was no stopping Hill as he arguably had the best season of his career while making some of the best catches of any wide receiver.
2. Justin Jefferson, Vikings
2022 Stats: 128 Rec. 1809 Yds. 8 TDs.
This young buck has quickly proved that he is all that and put up some of the best numbers of any wide receiver ever. Jefferson can go out there and make any play that he is asked to and is the centerpiece of this Minnesota team, helping them make the playoffs last season. If Jefferson has a season similar to the one he had in 2022 in 2023 there’s a good chance he’ll be on top of this list next year.
1. Davante Adams, Raiders
2022 Stats: 100 Rec. 1516 Yds. 14 TDs.
Every single NFL season there is one receiver who every fan knows will have a great year and that is Adams. Adams has proved himself as a top dog in the league as he has some of the best route running and hands of any receiver ever. Adams isn’t afraid even when the spotlight is on him and he didn’t disappoint whatsoever in his first year with Las Vegas.
